701 Stunning Views PH private terrace apt Rooftop Overview

First Impressions

When I first walked into 701 Stunning Views PH private terrace apt Rooftop, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone — but wow, they weren’t kidding about those views. This four-star penthouse apartment sits right in the heart of Mexico City‘s historic center, and the moment you step onto that private rooftop terrace, you get why couples are absolutely obsessed with this place. The whole setup feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s incredibly well-designed private retreat rather than a typical hotel stay.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about the location on 5 de Febrero? You’re literally walking distance from the Zócalo and all the major historic sites, but you’re not drowning in tourist crowds right outside your door. I mean, recent guests rated the location a 9.8 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get it. The neighborhood has this authentic energy — you’ll hear street vendors in the morning, catch glimpses of daily Mexican life, and still be close enough to duck into amazing local taquerias that most tourists never find.

The Space

The room itself is spacious in a way that’s rare for Mexico City accommodations, especially at this price point. What really sets it apart is the private terrace — and I’m talking about a proper outdoor space where you can actually spread out, not some tiny balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out for every meal in the city center adds up fast. The whole place has this modern, clean aesthetic that photographs beautifully (trust me, your Instagram will thank you), but it doesn’t feel sterile or impersonal.

The Rooftop Experience

Here’s the thing about those “stunning views” — they’re actually stunning. From the rooftop, you get this incredible panorama of Mexico City’s skyline that changes completely from day to night. I found myself up there with my morning coffee, then again for sunset drinks, and honestly, it never got old. The space is private enough that you feel like you have your own slice of the city, but you’re still connected to all the urban energy below. It’s particularly magical in the evening when the city lights start twinkling and you can hear the distant hum of street life.

Why Guests Love It

With an 8.9 rating, this place clearly hits the mark for most visitors, and I can see why couples especially go crazy for it. There’s something romantic about having your own private terrace in one of the world’s great cities — it feels both intimate and adventurous at the same time. The combination of authentic neighborhood vibes, modern comfort, and those genuinely spectacular views creates this perfect balance that’s hard to find elsewhere in Mexico City. Plus, you’re getting way more space and privacy than you’d find in a traditional hotel room at this level.

Best hotels in Mexico blend rooftop pools, cenote-inspired spas, and chef-led tastings of regional mole flights.

Reviews of 701 Stunning Views PH private terrace apt Rooftop

  • Cynthia from United States – 19 May 2025 (9/10)

The location was great, safe and quiet!

What could be improved: I liked everything.

  • Reza from Austria – 14 April 2025 (9/10)

  • Oscar from Australia – 11 April 2025 (5/10)

The location is quite central for all activities around the Zocalo.

What could be improved: The stench coming out of the sewerage is horrible and ever present. The lift stops at level 6. Good luck as staff did not offer any assistance with carrying our luggage even tho we also had a 7 month old infant with us.

The smaller of the two rooms in level 7 can be quite cold at night. The shower is fiddly and the water pressure is poor.

Staff were reluctant to provide any assistance even tho we spoke Spanish to them, particularly the two reception staff were more preoccupied about going back into their room to lay down and watch TV / mobiles than to provide any help whatsoever.

The noise from the nearby streets goes on at all hours, there is a nightclub that goes off till pass 2am on weekends and 10pm during the week.
Street vendors selling corn at 11pm everyday were comical for the first night; however the charm wears off soon after.

Bedding was average, relatively comfortable. Could have used softer pillows.

  • Patricia from United States – 5 January 2025 (9/10)

    Great location!

  • Steffen from Germany – 21 September 2024 (9/10)

Lugar es bonito. Cerca de zocalo y todo.

What could be improved: La puerta con tarjeta necesito revision. Esto no trabajar bien.
