Reviews of Antigua Hotel Boutique

  • Gabino from Mexico – 26 May 2025 (4/10)

What could be improved: No air conditioned in room, too hot. Messed the reservations and had to pay a night for an empty room.

  • Diana from Mexico – 17 April 2025 (9/10)

    Si

    What could be improved: Lejos

  • Laura from Mexico – 8 April 2025 (2/10)

I found that the facility it’s not what they sell on their advertising. There isn’t a single person to guide you to the premises (it’s inside of a shopping mall) or a proper signage; No A/C and for a what they call a luxury hotel; They don’t have an space for people who came early due to a meeting or event, so I felt their prices are so much higher than the service they offer.

  • Sarika from Mexico – 6 April 2025 (5/10)

The rooms don’t have AC nor windows to receive clean air.

It was uncomfortable to sleep throughout the night with a very stuffy feeling along with the fans noise.

There are NO written specifications in their website that rooms have no AC nor windows. The hotel rate is overpriced for not having proper ventilation; I think it shouldn’t be categorized as a “boutique luxury hotel”

What could be improved: I came for a wedding at El Srecrero garden and event lounge next door (bride & groom suggested this hotel as one of the options).

The wedding ceremony begun 1pm and I requested an early check-in, as 3pm was not fitting the events agenda. The concierge said it wasn’t possible as they were fully booked, but didn’t offer any alternative such as cloakroom, access to a bathroom or dressing room, etc. he just mentioned the extra fee when possible, but didn’t gave any alternative as the 2 hour early check-in wasn’t available. No one gave follow-up! They even replied I needed to contact them again hours before which was impossible as I was busy driving to get to the wedding…

This shouldn’t be an event lodging option. The hotel is inside a shopping mall pretty far away from the parking lot. No valet parking service nor any help to bring up luggage. Inside the mall, there’s NO clear signs on how to reach the hotel tower (there are 5 towers and it’s in the 5th one) once inside the lift there’s no sign in which floor it is at. This is a very impractical option if you forget something in your car and you are already in the room!!

There’s an unsealed cable fix beneath the bed…

  • Ana from Spain – 31 March 2025 (9/10)

Lo mejor fue el trato de una de las chicas de recepción y las facilidades que nos dio. Pasamos una noche muy tranquila gracias a la zona tan apartada en la que está, ya que en la ciudad de México, eso es algo prácticamente imposible.

  • Sven from Germany – 26 December 2024 (4/10)

    Clean
    Staff were friendly

What could be improved: No windows to the outside
No food available within the hotel, just in the mall that the hotel is situated in and most of the restaurants were closed at the time
The room was very noisy, we had loud music from 6am until 10pm from the gym that is located unter the hotel. One night we also had music from the neighbours in the middle of the night, as the walls are very thin.

  • Leonora from Canada – 10 December 2024 (7/10)

The room was very comfortable. It was a cold night but they provided a heater, which was nice. The man at the reception at night was very polite and helpful.

What could be improved: They do not answer the phone. I called to let them know we were going to arrive late to do the check in and for many hours nobody answered the phone.
I called from my room to the reception several times and nobody answer the phone, so every time you want to talk to reception you have to walk out of your room to do it.
The toilette was plugged, so we have to walk to the bathroom at the reception, they came to fix it when we were leaving, so I told them not to bother doing it anymore.

  • Raul from Mexico – 5 October 2024 (9/10)

    Rooms are big and comfortable

What could be improved: Probably small bathrooms

  • Sarah from United Kingdom – 15 February 2023 (7/10)

The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The lady who assisted with checkin was very helpful and friendly. There are some good places to eat in the complex the hotel is in.

What could be improved: There are lights on the facade outside the windows up lighting the walls. The pull down window blinds are good but the very bright light bleeds around the edge of the blind which does disturb sleep (it is like leaving a lamp on by the window. The gym opposite (and at the time of my stay the nearby the building works) start early in the morning. Not a problem for me as I was awake early but it may disturb a significant proportion of guests who may not start their day at 6 am. When you check out there is a check the room, I don't mind this being done at all but it would be helpful to know that there is a checkout process that may take 10 mins when you check in then you can appropriately plan time – it isn't a drop your key and go place
