Reviews of Domingo Santo Hotel Boutique

  • Anne from Belgium – 22 May 2025 (8/10)

Stylish hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Get an UPPER room with balcony. Ours was Monteczuma, overlooking the square. Only drawback is the traffic noise and music on Thurs. – Sat. Evenings. Restaurant has wonderful view and view on the square. Food is excellent & well-priced. Nice choice for stays where breakfast is included. We would stay there again if we wanted to be in the central historic district. Huge, comfy bed & linens with daily room service.

What could be improved: Hotel & restaurant are separate businesses. Noise from the street due to demonstrations and nature of central district.

  • Katherine from United Kingdom – 16 April 2025 (8/10)

The location was perfect, walking distance to everything in the Centro Historico. The rooftop restaurant was gorgeous and definitely the highlight and the hotel felt very secure, with 24/7 guards. Things to note – there is basically no soundproofing in the rooms and there is music every night. Also breakfast really varied in quality, day one I was blown away, beautiful fruit salad, cappuccino, fruit juice, choice of bread, omelettes to order. The next day, no choice of bread, no choice of coffee. Also the room had very wobbly stairs and a wobbly banister so one to note for those with disabilities or mobility issues. But it was a good value hotel for the Easter holidays in Mexico City and the staff were lovely.

  • Tavares from Canada – 9 April 2025 (8/10)

    Great location
    Excellent breakfast

  • Karina from United States – 31 March 2025 (9/10)

The breakfast was great and the view gave it a plus.

What could be improved: One night there was low water pressure but they took care of it once we notified them of the issue.

  • Craig from United States – 18 March 2025 (9/10)

The staff is wonderful, efficient and pleasant. The location couldn't be better in the historic district. It is right next to a square that has some shops and a really old church – beautiful. The restaurant was also very good and very fun especially on Sunday brunch. I would definitely come here again.

What could be improved: We had a little misunderstanding at check-in because I did this through Booking.com and apparently the hotel didn't understand my reservation was for a premium room with a balcony and they put me in a standard room on the first floor. But the next day they rectified it quickly as possible and they put us in a large corner room with two balconies overlooking the city. It was beautiful solution.

  • Lavon from United States – 2 February 2025 (8/10)

The breakfast was amazing and location could not have been better. There were a few hiccups — they only had one room key and for whatever reason couldn't make a 2nd one and the hotel safe didn't work but in the end it was very safe. The rooftop restaurant was amazing!!! And they had live music throughout the day and almost nightly. The music didn't go late so it wasn't too loud. The restaurant was packed every time they had music so you need reservations.

What could be improved: It was all pretty good and I would return. I didn't give it the top rating because only 1 room key and the safe didn't work and they couldn't fix it. Also, the elevator was broken but wasn't a big deal to us but might be for other travelers.

  • Julio from United States – 4 January 2025 (8/10)

facility is well maintained, clean comfortable rooms, great location

What could be improved: breakfast was good, although i would have preferred a larger selection

  • Silvia from United States – 30 October 2024 (9/10)

Everything, location, staff, food, privacy and safety

What could be improved: Can't think of anything

  • Azzurra from Italy – 23 August 2024 (8/10)

Wonderfull location and terrace.with amazing view. High quality of breakfast. Very beautiful room and very big. Very clean and the cleaning ladies were very kind.

What could be improved: Be aware that in the night there might be some noise coming from their terrace because the music is very loud and also that some rooms don't have windows or have window directly in the square in the ground floor. The staff of the reception was not very kind as we had to negotiate a lot for having a room with a window.

  • Daniela from United States – 10 June 2024 (9/10)

I loved my stay – though make sure you book the room in the upper floors.
The ones at the entry level are noisy.
