Hotel Menara Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Hotel Menara on Nezahualcóyotl Street, you immediately get that feeling of finding something solid in the heart of Mexico City. It’s not trying to be flashy — this three-star place has more of that reliable, well-run vibe that honestly makes you feel at home pretty quickly. The lobby’s got character without being overdone, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, which you can’t always count on in this price range. The overall atmosphere strikes a balance between comfort and practicality, making it an appealing choice for travelers seeking straightforward hospitality.

Location That Actually Works

Here’s the thing about the location — couples are rating it 8.2 for good reason, and I get why. You’re in Del. Benito Juárez, which means you’re close enough to the action without being right in the tourist chaos. I mean, you can walk to some decent restaurant and cafes, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds that come with staying right in the Centro Histórico. The neighborhood has that authentic Mexico City feel where locals actually live and work, you know? This positioning offers guests the best of both worlds — accessibility and tranquility.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what I expected from a solid three-star hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, decent-sized bathroom, and everything worked properly — which honestly is sometimes more than you can say for pricier places. The air conditioning actually kept up with Mexico City’s heat, and there was enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Nothing fancy, but they’ve clearly put thought into making sure the basics are covered well. The furnishings are functional and well-maintained, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

Practical Perks

You know what really sold me on this place? The free parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in Mexico City, you’ll understand why this is actually a huge deal — it can save you both money and serious headaches. Recent guests have been rating the overall location 8.3, and I think that’s pretty spot-on. There’s something to be said for a hotel that doesn’t promise the world but delivers consistently on what matters most to travelers. This practical advantage sets Hotel Menara apart from competitors in its category.

Why Guests Love It

Hotel Menara works because it gets the fundamentals right without any pretense. The staff is helpful, the location gives you easy access to explore the city, and you’re not paying for amenities you probably won’t use anyway. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and actually have more money left over for experiencing Mexico City itself. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need — a reliable base that lets the city be the star of your trip. This hotel represents honest value and dependable service for the discerning traveler.

Reviews of Hotel Menara

  • Justyna from Poland – 30 March 2025 (8/10)

Good budget option. Clean rooms, comfy beds. The staff very helpful. Very close to the Zocalo although wouldn't recommend walking around after dark.

  • Barbara from Poland – 27 November 2024 (9/10)

Great location, very close to the city centre. Although the room wasn't very big, there was enough space for everything. Big plus for a small desk/table and enough lamps to make the place bright. The room and the bathroom were clean, also the cosmetics available in the bathroom were an additional advantage.

What could be improved: The window in our room had a view for the parking so somebody from outside could easily see our room.

  • Miriam from United States – 1 October 2024 (8/10)

Spacious cleanest and central location too

What could be improved: Bathroom to near

  • Alain from France – 2 February 2024 (9/10)

    Its location. Quite.

What could be improved: Bathroom a little bit old

  • Barbara from United States – 21 January 2024 (7/10)

Pleasant, helpful staff. Very impressive. Lotion and soap dispensers, reducing waste. Excellent firm bed. Quick elevator. Did not use parking but could see it was easily accessible. Caters to international folk.

What could be improved: Toilet seemed to be backing up.

  • Victor from France – 6 January 2024 (8/10)

    Price and huge bedroom!

What could be improved: Noise in the morning of nearby guests.

  • Hongjun from United States – 1 January 2024 (9/10)

Friendly and caring staff. Spacious and comfortable room. Good location within walking distance to city center. Private parking.

What could be improved: The light in the restroom was a little dim, and the toilet paper holder was a little far from the toilet. It would be better if there were a sink inside the restroom.

  • Louise from South Africa – 5 June 2023 (8/10)

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

  • James from Spain – 31 January 2023 (8/10)

Great value for money. Not the best hotel, but if you are on a tight budget, it is good enough. Nice location and the bed was very comfy! They also have storage for your luggage which was great

What could be improved: Nothing really, its not a fancy hotel but for the prices, what can you expect?! 🙂

  • Kalpraj from Germany – 5 December 2022 (7/10)

The service and the warmth of the staff was great. Room and the bathroom were quite clean and fresh. Staff was very helpful, since I had to check out earlier than planned and they tried to help me which I appreciate a lot.

What could be improved: It can get a bit loud since you can hear everything from the floor/ rooms around. while great for what you pay, but I am light sleeper and this is very important for me.
