I found myself picking up ingredients from the local markets and making breakfast instead of always eating out, which was both fun and budget-friendly. The swimming pool isn’t huge, but it’s clean and surprisingly peaceful considering you’re on such a busy street. I used it mostly in the evenings when the Mexico City heat was still lingering but the traffic noise had died down a bit. The water temperature was perfect, and there are enough lounge chairs that I never felt crowded. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a typical hotel experience. Staff members are attentive and responsive to guest needs.

  What could be improved: The apartment itself is really nice but it’s right above the loudest street. The clubs and bars play extremely loud music all night. It’s extremely hard to drown it out

  Location was so-so. One side had a very sleazy street and I saw a rat going into the 7-Eleven. The other side was quiet and had a few good restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: We booked this place because it was supposed to have AC. The AC turned out to be a small portable unit. While it worked, it was too small to effectively cool the entire apartment. The kitchen had some basics but lacked a spatula – so fried eggs did not work.
