503 Walk the City Center 1Bdrm 1 bath AC Rooftop Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to 503 Walk the City Center 1Bdrm 1 bath AC Rooftop, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a charming residential building on Calle 5 de Febrero that feels authentically local rather than touristy. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes this place special. This four-star apartment gives you a genuine taste of living in Mexico City while keeping you right in the heart of everything that matters.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally in the Centro Histórico, which means you can walk to the Zócalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and countless cafés without ever needing an Uber. I mean, couples are rating this location a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The street itself has that perfect balance — busy enough to feel alive during the day, but it actually quiets down nicely at night. Plus, there’s a little corner store right around the block where you can grab essentials (and surprisingly good coffee) without the tourist markup.
The Space
The room setup is honestly pretty smart for the price point. You’ve got a proper bedroom that feels separate from the living area, which makes a huge difference if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The AC works well — and trust me, you’ll appreciate that during Mexico City’s warmer months. What really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to fit everything you need without it feeling cramped. The bathroom is compact but functional, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase the entire time.
The Rooftop Experience
Here’s where things get interesting — that rooftop access isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s actually a game-changer. You get these unexpected views of the city that most hotels in this area simply can’t offer. It’s not fancy or Instagram-perfect, but there’s something really satisfying about having your morning coffee up there while watching the city wake up below. In the evenings, well, it’s the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than you planned, just soaking in the atmosphere.
Why Guests Love It
The thing that keeps coming up in conversations with other travelers is how this place strikes that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity. You’re not staying in some sterile hotel bubble — you’re actually experiencing how people live in this part of the city. The recent guest rating of 9.9 for location isn’t just about proximity to attractions (though that’s definitely a factor). It’s about being somewhere that feels real, where you can duck into local eateries that don’t have English menus and stumble upon street art that hasn’t made it into guidebooks yet. For the price and the experience, it’s honestly hard to beat if you want to feel connected to Mexico City rather than just visiting it.

It’s close to the zócalo, the staff is really pleasant, the apartment has everything you could possibly need in it, except for a step ladder, to reach the top of the cabinet to get a wine glass, the beds are comfortable, there’s AC, and this time I even discovered there was a little space heater we could’ve used, had it been cold, but it wasn’t.
What could be improved: I absolutely hate the showerhead. Next time I’m gonna bring one, and ask if we can have one of the guys bring a little ladder to install it. The spray of water is so thin by the time it gets to my heigh that is very difficult to rinse myself off. Everything else in the apartment is top of the line… I don’t get why they skimped so much on something as cheap as a shower head.Dalia from Mexico – 28 January 2025 (8/10)

Adela from United States – 24 January 2025 (7/10)

Everything that was there that we needed… We have been in a lot of Airbnbs and suites, and usually several things are missing that would have made it more comfortable. For example: Trash cans in every room, Plenty of blankets and pillows, Corkscrew, kitchen scissors, Cards and keys for two, Great and powerful microwave, bedside rugs, in the kitchen, cooking oil, salt, and all the small kitchen appliances. Besides this, if there was anything at all lacking or that could be fixed, we got immediate feedback on it. The rooftop terrace was a big plus also…You can even see the Christmas lights of Liverpool from there, and a tip of the cathedral towers. Nice place to go display cards or drink. The doorman was attentive, and they were constantly updating things around the building… When we were there, they were doing some painting touchups, and they had just put out a small smoking terrace on our floor. It’s hard to find such a digit to detail anywhere else. There were also umbrellas in the entrance hall.
What could be improved: Someone wrote a review saying that there were smells… CDMX is an old city, and yes, there are smells. They also wrote there were no windows, which is not true. They may not give out on a beautiful view, but they do provide enough ventilation that if you do accidentally burn your toast, or if there is a smell in the bathroom, you can easily eliminate the odors. A stepstool would’ve been nice to have, since some of the kitchen cabinets were too high for me to reach, the towels in the bathroom also were too high, and the window in the bedroom could not be accessed without standing on something.Daniel from United States – 12 November 2024 (6/10)
Great location near the Zocalo and metro stops on two lines. The roof patio was nice. Access to laundry was good.
What could be improved: While the apartment is very clean, sewer gases are constantly coming from the shower drain. This smell was exacerbated by the fact that the apartment has no exterior windows and virtually no natural air movement.
Also, the bed had no mattress pad, making it less comfortable than it could have been. Overall, the windowless apartment with the bad smells from the bathroom was not where we wanted to be.Alejandra from Mexico – 15 October 2024 (8/10)
Me gustó mucho el espacio, como era cómodo y fácil acceso a todo, además que la ubicación está súper cerca del zócalo, área segura para caminar solo tener cuidado si es muy de noche como en todos lados del mundo,
