Capital O Suites Marne Cdmx Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Capital O Suites Marne Cdmx, you immediately get the sense that this three-star property punches above its weight class. The building sits on a quiet residential street in Colonia Cuauhtémoc, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — you’re staying in a real neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. The lobby is clean and modern without trying too hard, which I actually appreciated after seeing so many hotels that go overboard with flashy décor.

Location That Actually Makes Sense

Here’s what I love about this spot in Mexico City — you’re perfectly positioned between the historic center and the trendy neighborhoods like Roma Norte and Condesa. I mean, you can walk to the Monumento a la Revolución in about ten minutes, and catching an Uber to Zona Rosa or Polanco never took more than fifteen minutes, even in traffic. The couples who stay here clearly get it (they rate the location nearly 9 out of 10), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about strolling through these tree-lined streets in the evening, plus you’ve got authentic taquerias and cafés within a few blocks.

The Room Experience

My room was larger than I expected, which is always a pleasant surprise in Mexico City where space comes at a premium. The suite setup actually works well — you get a separate sitting area that doesn’t feel cramped, and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache. The Wi-Fi held up fine for video calls (important if you’re working remotely), and the air conditioning was quiet, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep in a bustling city.

Neighborhood Vibes

What really sold me on this place was stepping outside and feeling like I was staying where locals actually live. There’s a little corner store across the street where the owner remembered my face after two days, and I found this incredible hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving cochinita pibil just three blocks away — the kind of place you’d never find if you were staying in the hotel zone. The Metro Revolución station is close enough to be useful but far enough that you don’t hear the trains, and honestly, that balance is harder to find than you’d think.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this is a three-star property, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything more. But what Capital O Suites Marne Cdmx does well is give you a genuine Mexico City experience without the tourist markup. The staff actually seems to care about helping you navigate the city (they gave me better restaurant recommendations than most guidebooks), and the recent guest ratings of 9.2 for location tell the whole story. You know what? Sometimes the best hotels are the ones that get out of your way and let you experience the city itself — and this place definitely does that.

Early hotels booking in Mexico secures seats for Guelaguetza dances, artisan markets, and mezcal harvest celebrations.

  • John from Mexico – 4 May 2025 (8/10)

    Good location and value

  • Aurelio from Guatemala – 22 February 2025 (6/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: It didn’t match the pics. It is an old building and does seem like it on booking

  • Mario from United States – 22 October 2024 (7/10)

The location is fantastic. For my needs was great the location and the staff 5 stars.

What could be improved: To be honest the place is old and I understand that part, but with those rates I think they can improve several things.

Wifi: even when they have for options (and I only try two of them because they were the most strong ones) the wifi was coming on and off several times.

Bed: very bad. I found my spot in one side of the bed in order to sleep, that was the main reason for me to stay in a hotel, because I was coming for traveling and I needed to rest but the bed did not help at all.

No light switches next to the bed, you have to stand up an come back to the bed all in darkness.

  • Eduardo from Mexico – 3 May 2023 (9/10)

The location is amazing, main avenues and coffees are really close to the hotel. It was clean and quiet.

What could be improved: At night a lot of mosquitos came out, that was really annoying. The freezer wasn't working.

  • Sierra from Mexico – 7 December 2022 (9/10)

The location and the room size, Also, there are many stores and public transport that we can take. It's near to the zocalo and the Independence angel.

What could be improved: First, in the morning there is a staff so angry, and he is so annoying. Second, some items in the room are olders, and I prefered to eat out.

  • Julio from Mexico – 5 September 2022 (8/10)

Excellent location and very helpful staff.
