Downtown Depto con Terraza Privada Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Downtown Depto con Terraza Privada, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place — but this little gem completely changed my mind. The building sits right on Hambult 47, and you know what struck me immediately? How quiet it felt despite being smack in the middle of everything. The entrance has this understated charm that doesn’t scream tourist trap, which I actually appreciated after dealing with some of the flashier spots around Mexico City.
The Apartment Setup
This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — it’s actually a proper apartment with everything you need to feel settled. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal here), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. What really sold me though was how everything felt clean and modern without being sterile. The furnishings are simple but comfortable, and honestly, after a long day exploring the city, that’s exactly what you want.
That Private Terrace
Okay, let me tell you about the terrace because this is where the place really shines. Having your own private outdoor space in the heart of Mexico City? That’s pretty special. I spent most of my mornings out there with coffee, watching the city wake up — it’s got this perfect view that gives you a real sense of the neighborhood without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl. The space is big enough for two people to actually relax together, which explains why couples rate this place so highly.
Location Perks
The location really is something else — guests consistently give it a 9.6 rating, and I get why. You’re walking distance from some of the best local spots that most tourists never find, plus you can easily hop on public transport to hit the major attractions. What I loved was being able to grab groceries at the corner market or duck into one of those tiny family-run places for dinner. There’s secure parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Mexico City (though honestly, you probably won’t need a car from this spot).
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it strikes that sweet spot between independence and comfort. You get the privacy of your own space — including that amazing terrace — without sacrificing the conveniences of a good hotel. The 8.7 guest rating isn’t just numbers; it reflects how this place actually delivers on what it promises. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or just want a proper base for exploring the city, Downtown Depto con Terraza Privada gives you room to breathe while keeping you connected to everything that makes Mexico City incredible.
Hotel in Mexico bookings spike during Formula 1 race week, so fans lock in suites overlooking Reforma’s parade route.

The location was extremely good. It's close to a lot of important places, even walking around one can easily reach Paseo de la Reforma, and even Zocalo. The Alameda Central is literally a five minute walk away. Mexico city has so much to offer and the location of this property is in the middle of it all! 24 Hour security is also very much appreciated. The host was responsive and helpful.
What could be improved: We didn't love the mattresses, they weren't the most comfortable. The apartment also has a musky smell from humidity, but I think this is very common, nothing that can't be resolved by opening up windows and letting in fresh air into the space.Luiz from Mexico – 19 January 2025 (9/10)
Decent location
What could be improved: Construction on the street and demolition of buildings all around!Teragui from Mexico – 23 December 2024 (9/10)

Simple and clean with good security. Excellent location right next to Bellas Artes park and market as well as the Juarez metro station.
Simon from United States – 8 November 2023 (7/10)
What could be improved: The shower is hard to get into if you are a large person.
The TV was not working – "weak signal"
Not their problem, but it was very noisy at night due to a significant construction project next door that required alot of banging on steel. Very hard to sleep through.
The coffee machine clogged up and would deliver only half the water.
The vents near the dryer need to be cleaned.
The bathroom vent needs to be cleaned out. It doesn't extract the air in the bathroom.
The house plants hadnt been watered in a long time. Each took several liters of water.Cristy from United States – 1 January 2023 (8/10)
Beautiful apartment and great location
What could be improved: It could of been a little cleaner
