Reviews of El Alfonsa

  • Matthew from United States – 27 May 2025 (9/10)

Design of the hotel is beautiful. Francisco was very helpful during the check-in process

What could be improved: Staying on the first floor right above a bar that played loud music until 12am every night. Otherwise everything was great!

  • Caeden from Canada – 22 May 2025 (10/10)

The property and location were perfect! The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-designed. Extremely walkable with easy access to parks, shops, Roma, and more.

  • Stefano from Italy – 21 May 2025 (8/10)

    Location and great new decor

What could be improved: Make sure you ask for quiet room otherwise it will be very hard to sleep before 3am.

We have requested a quiet room but we ended up on the noisiest room. The manager moved us to the suite on top floor for the second night

  • Natalie from United Kingdom – 20 May 2025 (9/10)

The location was perfect for visiting Mexico City. The neighborhood is very walkable with lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The room was lovely and very comfortable with AC. Our room didn't face the street so we were shielded from noise from bars and the street. Great bathroom with nice shower products (shampoo, conditioner, soap) included. It was easy to check in and out (no reception, all doors have a code which they provide to you ahead of time)

What could be improved: The only thing to mention is that because we were on the first floor, we did hear music from the restaurant below (Oly). This was only when the staff were playing music while they were closing up so didn't last long or late into the night. It didn't stop us from sleeping just mentioning it for others to be aware.

  • Guillermo from United States – 20 May 2025 (10/10)

Very good location, interior of the room was compact but nice, great decoration and everything we needed inside for a short weekend.

What could be improved: Not super bad but when I booked it I thought it was a hotel but then I got contacted by our “host” who turned up to be very helpful. Maybe more clarity about this might be helpful before booking.

  • Jacqueline from United States – 19 May 2025 (10/10)

Everything about our stay was wonderful! Authentic, classic and elegant property close to everything! The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great! Would definitely stay again on our next visit!

  • Sanoma from United States – 12 May 2025 (10/10)

    Clean, beautiful space

What could be improved: noisy from bars downstairs

  • Adrienne from United States – 9 May 2025 (9/10)

I absolutely loved the location, super cool neighborhood and walking distance to places I wanted to go to. We loved our room and the view of the trees outside our windows. The staff were also friendly.

What could be improved: Checking in was a bit confusing, there’s no concierge. But once we figured it out, it was good and we felt safe.

  • Darcy from Japan – 6 May 2025 (9/10)

Excellent location right in the heart of Condesa. Near great shops, restaurants and two subway stations. The area immediately around the property was safe, stylish and sophisticated.

What could be improved: The property is immediately adjacent to a club of some sort. I was fine with hearing some ambient noise from the club but those who are sensitive to noise may want to inquire further with the owner.

  • Ellen from United States – 4 May 2025 (10/10)

Lovely location and the facilities were beautiful. Very helpful staff!

What could be improved: We wish that the air conditioning had been more robust but we added a couple of fans which helped
