Inviting 2BR Penthouse with Terrace in Cuauhtemoc Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Inviting 2BR Penthouse with Terrace in Cuauhtemoc, you immediately understand why couples rate this place so highly. The space feels more like a sophisticated Mexico City apartment than a typical hotel room — which makes sense, since that’s essentially what it is. The four-star property sits on Culiacán Street in one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone would make this worth booking. But then you step out onto that terrace, and you know you’ve found something special.
The Space and Views
This penthouse actually delivers on its promise — two proper bedrooms, not some cramped conversion with a fold-out couch masquerading as a second room. The terrace is the real star though, offering views that stretch across Cuauhtémoc’s mix of colonial architecture and modern high-rises. I mean, you’re essentially getting your own private rooftop in one of Mexico City’s most sought-after areas. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between comfortable and stylish, with enough character to feel authentic but not so quirky that you’re constantly bumping into oddly placed furniture.
Location and Neighborhood
Cuauhtémoc is where Mexico City really comes alive, and this property puts you right in the thick of it. You’re walking distance from Zona Rosa’s restaurants and nightlife, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds every time you step outside. The neighborhood has this great energy — local cafes mixed with upscale galleries, street food vendors next to wine bars. It’s the kind of area where you can grab amazing tacos al pastor for lunch and then hit a rooftop cocktail bar for dinner, all within a few blocks of your door.
What Makes It Work
The kitchen is actually functional, which isn’t always a given in vacation rentals. You can brew proper coffee in the morning or pick up ingredients from the local markets and cook dinner on the terrace — something that feels particularly appealing when you’re staying in a city known for its incredible food culture. The Wi-Fi is solid (I tested it extensively), and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly in each other’s way if you’re traveling as a couple. The air conditioning works well too, which you’ll appreciate during Mexico City’s warmer months.
Why Guests Love It
That perfect 10 rating isn’t an accident — this place gets the details right. The terrace setup is ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks, the bedrooms are genuinely comfortable, and you’re positioned to explore some of Mexico City’s best neighborhoods on foot. Recent guests consistently mention the location, and after spending time here, I get why couples especially gravitate toward this spot. It feels like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, which is exactly what you want from a place like this. Plus, having that outdoor space in a dense urban environment like Mexico City? That’s pretty much priceless.

Me encantó la terraza y las almohadas está súper limpio y una excelente atención
What could be improved: Que le falta aire poner refrigeración ya que le pega el sol y se sofoca y como hay ruido en la calle es difícil cerrar completamente las ventanas
