JVM 429, in Polanco by Blueground Overview
First Impressions
Walking into JVM 429, in Polanco by Blueground, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star hotel experience. The building sits right in the heart of Polanco — honestly, one of Mexico City’s most sophisticated neighborhoods — and there’s something refreshingly modern about the whole setup. I mean, when recent guests are rating the location a 9.5, you know you’re onto something special. The lobby has this clean, residential feel that makes you think “upscale apartment” more than “hotel,” which actually works perfectly for what this place is trying to achieve.
Location & Neighborhood
Polanco is where you want to be if you’re serious about experiencing Mexico City’s refined side. You’re walking distance from Museo Soumaya and Antara Fashion Hall, but what I really love is how Juan Vazquez de Mella puts you right in the mix of tree-lined streets and sidewalk cafes. The area feels safe for evening strolls — something couples particularly appreciate, apparently. You know what’s brilliant though? The free private parking on site, which honestly saves you a massive headache in this part of the city where finding a spot can be… well, let’s just say challenging.
The Apartment Experience
Here’s where JVM 429 gets interesting — these aren’t traditional hotel rooms, they’re fully furnished apartments managed by Blueground. Each unit feels like someone’s actual home, complete with a proper kitchen, living area, and workspace. The furnishings lean modern without being sterile, and there’s enough space to actually live rather than just sleep. I found myself making coffee in the morning and working from the dining table, which beats cramming everything onto a tiny hotel desk. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to get anything done.
Practical Comforts
What strikes me about staying here is how the little things just work smoothly. The building management is responsive, the apartments come stocked with basics like linens and kitchenware, and everything feels well-maintained without being fussy. You’ve got proper closet space, a washing machine (seriously underrated when you’re traveling), and windows that actually open — small details that make longer stays much more comfortable. The neighborhood grocery stores are close by, so you can stock up on local ingredients if you’re inclined to cook.
Why Guests Love It
This place hits that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment independence, especially for couples who want space to spread out and explore the city at their own pace. The Polanco location means you’re central to everything — museums, restaurants, shopping — without the tourist crowd chaos of other areas. Plus, having your own kitchen and living room changes the whole dynamic of a Mexico City stay. You can grab fresh ingredients from local markets, invite friends over, or just enjoy a quiet evening in after a day of exploring. It’s the kind of setup that makes you feel like a temporary local rather than just another visitor passing through.

A pesar de que recibí confirmación y clave de acceso del establecimiento llegué y me dijeron que no tenian disponibilidad de espacio, que esto se debió a una falla en su sistema de reservas.

Very Spacious Apartment in Polanco. Was conveniently located near where the office building where I was visiting was located and worked well for my visit.
What could be improved: Customer service was very lacking, when we arrived we were told we were in a different apartment than the confirmation email I had received. That apartment seemed to not be ready for visitors. There was one bath towel in the entire apartment. There were no kitchen towels, bath mats, hand towels or additional bath towels. The floor was filthy, my white socks instantly turned black walking around and there was no mop or cleaning products to clean. The apartment was very warm and there were no fans to circulate air. Also the washer/dryer combo would not dry. What made things worse is that there was no way to contact support directly. Whenever we messaged on booking.com we were directed to contact them on whatsapp but there was no answer on whatsapp. Once i figured out there was a blueground app, i was able to submit support requests, but you would hardly get a reply unless you stated it was an emergency. The only way were were able to get towels the first night was by having the security guard send a message for us. The next day we got a single fan and some kitchen towels that we used in combination with a broom and some cleaning solution that WE bought to clean the floors. Normally, the floors wouldn't have been such a big deal, but we were traveling with a crawling infant, so cleanliness was important.Cristina from Canada – 14 February 2025 (8/10)
