Mini Loft Buenavista 106 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Mini Loft Buenavista 106 feels like discovering a hidden gem in the heart of Mexico City. This three-star property sits in a converted building that honestly surprised me — the industrial-chic vibe works really well here. You know what struck me first? The way they’ve maximized every inch of space without making it feel cramped. The loft-style design gives you that urban, contemporary feeling that’s perfect if you’re looking for something different from the typical hotel experience.
The Space
The room itself is cleverly designed with high ceilings that make everything feel more spacious than you’d expect. I mean, it’s called a mini loft for a reason, but they’ve really thought about functionality here. The sleeping area flows naturally into a compact living space, and there’s actually a small kitchenette tucked into one corner — super handy if you want to grab groceries from the local markets and prepare simple meals. The modern furnishings and clean lines give it that minimalist aesthetic that photographs well (if you’re into that sort of thing).
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s where this place really shines — the Buenavista area puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos of the absolute city center. You’re walking distance to some fantastic local eateries and cafes that most tourists never discover. The nearby train station makes getting around incredibly easy, and I found myself exploring neighborhoods I wouldn’t have otherwise visited. Couples seem to particularly love this spot, which makes sense given how walkable everything is and the romantic vibe of the tree-lined streets around here.
What Makes It Special
What sets this place apart is the attention to detail in a compact space. The owners clearly understand what modern travelers actually need — good WiFi, comfortable bedding, and a space that feels like home rather than just a place to crash. The building itself has character, with exposed brick elements and industrial touches that feel authentic rather than forced. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I really appreciate. The neighborhood energy seeps in through the windows, giving you that genuine Mexico City experience.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, the location rating speaks for itself — guests consistently praise how well-positioned this loft is for exploring the city. You get that local neighborhood feel while still being connected to major attractions and transport links. The value proposition is solid too; you’re getting a unique space with personality at a reasonable price point. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself lingering in the morning with coffee, planning your day, rather than rushing out because the room feels sterile. For travelers who want something with character and a genuine sense of place, this little loft delivers exactly that.
To book a hotel in Mexico during mariachi festivals, visitors plan early to blend rooftop fiestas with sunrise hot-air balloons over valleys.

Me encantó la comodidad y lo céntrico del lugar
What could be improved: Que falta una TVJanet from Australia – 3 January 2025 (9/10)
The hotel concept was unique, 2 beautiful trees in the atrium, comfotable seating.
The rooftop garden was so relaxing, had free music due to the Christmas fair set up in the street, which made it difficult for taxis to find a way to the hotel.
Pool looked good, guests swimming.
The room, comfortable, nothing fancy but had all basic needs. Maybe a heavy curtain to darken room at night. Styed 13 nights.
The 2 door men, very helpful and did a good job. Got the VIP treatment from staff.
Would definitely vist again.

Un espacio relajado, los vigilantes muy amables y atentos
What could be improved: La calle en la que se ubica de noche da miedo, falta alumbrado, pero de ahí en fuera todo bienDebra from Canada – 8 November 2024 (9/10)
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to visit sites in Mexico City. Restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: Didn't have elevator, so lots of stairs. No natural daylight in room, which made the room a bit gloomy.Victor from Cyprus – 24 March 2024 (7/10)
The location is not so bad, at least you can walk to downtown
What could be improved: The security guy is always sleeping, so is difficult to get in after 11pm. Also de doors has 2 locks but they didnt provide us the second key for the second lock, that it could be more safe.Veerle from Belgium – 19 March 2024 (8/10)
Coffee shop next door
What could be improved: Far from center of cityNiculaie from Romania – 10 October 2023 (5/10)
What could be improved: Noise amplified by the courtyard in the middle where tourists talk even at night
there were no chairs and a hanger … old room, everything worn beyond measureLaurence from United Kingdom – 4 May 2023 (1/10)
Nothing
What could be improved: Unfortunately we checked out after our first night as the room was not up to the standard depicted online.
Examples of which include the mattress being awful and needing replacing as well as there being no sofa, no storage space for clothes and a bathroom in very poor conditions with tired towels.
Still no response from the host on a refund.Rosie from United Kingdom – 9 January 2023 (9/10)
lovely communal areas inside and out. we loved hanging out on the rooftop, I worked from there too and the wifi was more than sufficient. the rooms are basic but have everything you need with your own kitchenette and bathroom. really clean. the location is great, lots to see and do on foot.
What could be improved: we stayed over new years weekend so it was quite loud in the room, not very soundproof but we did go at a very lively time of year.Alex from Mexico – 25 July 2022 (7/10)
The location was perfect, it was a 5min walk to the bus station and metro station. There was a cute little cafe next door that had delicious breakfasts and drinks. The doorman was friendly and was there 24/7 whih made me feel more secure and safe at the property. The rooftop area was really cool.
What could be improved: The bathroom could've been a little cleaner. More plugs available on the rooftop area that gives guests more options of where to sit.
