First Impressions

When I first walked into Ultimate Getaway in Luxe Studio, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place — but this little gem completely surprised me. The studio setup is actually pretty clever, and you can tell they’ve put real thought into maximizing every square foot. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I really appreciated.

Location & Getting Around

Being right on Avenida Insurgentes Sur puts you in the heart of Mexico City, and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re basically on one of the city’s main arteries, so getting anywhere is straightforward — whether you’re taking the metro or grabbing an Uber. What really sold me though was the free parking on site, which honestly feels like winning the lottery in this part of the city. I watched other travelers circle the block for ages looking for street parking, while I just pulled right in.

The Studio Space

The room itself is where this place really shines. It’s essentially a well-designed studio apartment that doesn’t feel cramped, even though it’s compact. The kitchenette area is actually functional — not just for show like some places — and I found myself using it more than I expected. The whole space has this modern, clean vibe that photographs well if you’re into that sort of thing, but more importantly, it just feels comfortable to live in for a few days.

What Makes It Special

You know what I noticed? The little details that most hotels skip. The lighting is actually good for working (I spent a morning catching up on emails), and the bed positioning means you’re not staring at a wall when you wake up. Plus, the soundproofing is surprisingly decent considering you’re on such a busy avenue — I was worried about traffic noise, but it really wasn’t an issue.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. There’s something intimate about the studio layout that works really well for two people — you’re not rattling around in separate spaces, but you’re also not on top of each other. The recent guest ratings speak for themselves, and after staying here, I get it. It’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in Mexico City.

  Excelente ubicación, muy céntrico, el departamento limpio, con una decoración muy linda, y con todo lo necesario y en excelentes condiciones, las amenidades del edificio muy bien, la alberca está padrísima, sin duda volvería, además el host se portó súper amable conmigo, atendió a todas las solicitudes y siempre dispuesto, es un 10/10

  Ottima posizione, il monolocale accogliente con tutti i servizi necessari (lava asciuga, macchina per caffè, diversi asciugamani e molto altro) e bello il terrazzo con la piscina e la palestra.
  
  What could be improved: Purtroppo troppo rumore dalla strada fuori (infatti danno i tappi), il frigorifero che continuava a fare un rumore strano e nonostante le nostre richieste nessuno è venuto a controllare. E la doccia non si chiudeva bene, quindi il bagno si allegava facilmente.

  The Appartment was so stylish, had enough space for our tons of luggage, we could wash our clothes and just didn't miss anything, they provided even a big jug of water. We could use the rooftop gym and the pool there – you should go see the sunset there and take a swim with the moon! Awesome!
  Also Roma Norte is THE place to be in Mexico City. We had the best time!
  Also the owner provided a nice document with relevant tips, was available for questions via WhatsApp and very friendly! Thank you!!
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the club and street there are very loud. But you can use the earplugs that they provide 🙂

  Bedding and kitchen was fantastic. Sofa couch my mom slept on had something in it that left her w tiny bites. Perhaps fleas as apartment was pet friendly?! I dunno. Location was decent and very safe.

  It was nice and central to cafes and restaurants and the main sites. We loved the rooftop pool and gym.

  Le rooftop avec terrasse et piscine sur la ville de Mexico était magnifique. L’emplacement est idéal pour sortir le soir, quartier animé et on s’y sent en sécurité. Les propriétaires sont attentionnés et les voisins très sympathiques. L’appartement est décoré avec goût et dispose de deux toilettes et une machine à laver.

  Un excelente anfitrión, el alojamiento muy hermoso y confortable. Sector muy seguro y con fácil acceso al transporte, restaurantes, tiendas de conveniencia cerca. Todo fue perfecto, si Dios lo permite regresaremos.
