Welcoming 2BR in Roma Norte Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Welcoming 2BR in Roma Norte, you immediately get why this four-star spot has such a devoted following among couples. The building sits right on Calle Querétaro, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering — you’re basically in the heart of one of Mexico City’s coolest neighborhoods. I mean, Roma Norte has this perfect mix of tree-lined streets, incredible coffee shops, and that artsy vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
The Neighborhood Advantage
What really struck me about staying here is how walkable everything is. You’ve got Parque México just a few blocks away, which is perfect for morning runs or evening strolls, and the café scene around here is honestly unmatched. There’s this little spot called Café Nin that’s maybe a three-minute walk — their cortados are incredible. The whole area feels safe and lively, especially in the evenings when locals are out walking their dogs and the restaurants start buzzing. You know what’s also great? The parking situation — they actually offer free parking, which is pretty rare in this part of the city.
The Space Itself
The two-bedroom setup works really well, whether you’re traveling as a couple who wants extra space or with friends. The main room has this comfortable, lived-in feel without being cluttered, and the second bedroom gives you options for spreading out. I particularly liked the kitchen — it’s not huge, but it’s well-equipped enough that you can actually cook if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. The whole place feels more like staying in a friend’s apartment than a typical hotel, which I think is exactly what they’re going for.
Local Insights
One thing I discovered during my stay is that Roma Norte really comes alive in different ways throughout the day. Mornings are quiet and perfect for exploring the local markets — Mercado Medellín is about a ten-minute walk and has the best produce and spices. Afternoons, the galleries and boutiques along Álvaro Obregón start getting busy, and by evening, you’ve got your pick of everything from casual taquerías to upscale dining. The metro station at Insurgentes is close enough to reach the rest of the city easily, but honestly, I found myself staying in the neighborhood most of the time because there’s just so much to discover.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.0 location rating really tells the story here — guests consistently mention how perfectly positioned this place is for experiencing authentic Mexico City life. Couples especially seem to appreciate the balance of privacy and accessibility, plus the fact that you can walk to dinner without dealing with traffic or long commutes. The 7.4 overall rating reflects what I’d call honest hospitality — it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top, just genuinely welcoming and well-situated. For the price point and the neighborhood, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for in Roma Norte.

Location. Apartments interior is nice.
Security guards/doormen were very friendly and polite.
What could be improved: Cleaning was not done, when I checked in. Cleaning lady came at 3:15 pm, but as a result cleaning was done bad – the floor was full of fur (I guess previous tenants had a dog).
Plus the apartment is facing the inner garden of a hostel and you can hear everything, what’s going on there.Vania from Mexico – 17 November 2024 (7/10)
Limpio y en buen estado
What could be improved: 1.
Ron from Estonia – 10 November 2024 (8/10)
Great location, and a very nicely designed and very spacious apartment. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped which was great for us for some light meals, and having laundry detergent provided was just the type of extra thought I really appreciate. Location is fantastic, right in the heart of La Roma nte.
What could be improved: Only two things really, both I believe were already mentioned in other reviews. 1. getting either shower to stay on a reasonable temp (not scalding hot and not freezing cold) is not possible, makes for quite hectic and quick showers. and 2. walls are paper thin, people chatting in the yard next door sounds like they're standing inside the bedroom (property did provide ear plugs that came in handy).Catherine from France – 27 August 2024 (9/10)
Superbe appartement avec 2 chambres et 2 salles de douche. Super calme, les chambres donnant sur les cours intérieures.
What could be improved: Rien. Manquait juste un torchon dans la cuisine pour la vaisselle.Zarina from Germany – 23 November 2023 (7/10)
Extremely well located, good kitchen. Tons of space.
What could be improved: The apartment is loud, likely because there is no barrier to the outside, aka a semi-open wall in the kitchen closet where the water heater and fridge are located (picture attached). This also makes it chilly at night when the temperature is low.
The showers worked weirdly, very hard to get a consistent temperature. Sometimes it would be very hot or very cold without changing anything.
The apartment was not cleaned well. For example, there was some dirt/particles on the shower.
None of these were super major issues, but definitely worth addressing.Nadine from United States – 14 November 2023 (8/10)
Easy check-in! The apartment in very spacious!
What could be improved: The apartment shower could be cleaned a lot better.
The bed was very low to the ground.
There was not a television in the bedroom.
The bathroom sinks are very small and not function-able.Julie from United States – 15 October 2023 (8/10)
Staff at front desk very friendly, helpful and courteous . Good location, easy walking to restaurants and sites.
What could be improved: Too much noise from street and center courtyardEvia from Mexico – 28 August 2023 (8/10)
The space is great. Fits 4 people staff is friendly and everything was super clean. Overall great experience.
What could be improved: I would make the sinks in the bathrooms a bit bigger since they are so little all water spills out.Yesi from Mexico – 23 August 2023 (8/10)

Simone from Australia – 1 February 2023 (8/10)
stylish, secure and right in the middle of a thriving, cool neighbourhood. great communication from the staff and well stocked for a short-term stay.
What could be improved: walls are thin so you do hear noise from the neighbouring buildings, including the schoolyard next door, but they provide earplugs if it’s a problem for you.
