Reviews of Agata Hotel Boutique & Spa

  • Aisling from Ireland – 21 May 2025 (9/10)

Very comfortable, lovely atmosphere, lovely details like face masks in room and daily personal welcome note, really nice breakfast with smoothie bowls

What could be improved: It was a little hard to know how to check in when I arrived at night, I think if there were instructions on how to check in that would be helpful

  • Alexandre from Canada – 3 May 2025 (10/10)

We enjoyed the welcome drinks and the daily tea time.

What could be improved: Might improve the breakfast quality.

  • Susan from United States – 16 April 2025 (10/10)

Great safe location in Coyoacán a very short walking distance to squares, markets, restaurants and museums.
The staff was wonderful and luckily for me did speak English. The room was very clean and luxurious with a very comfortable bed, big soft towels, a great shower and many amenities. They had several soft drinks and treats in the room as well as a coffeemaker and coffee. They even brought me tea in the evening. I felt very pampered.
I had to leave early in the morning so I was not able to have the regular breakfast but they made a special takeaway breakfast for me. I would totally recommend this hotel and hope I can return for a longer stay sometime.

What could be improved: The only thing that would make this place better is an outdoor area to relax in the sun. It seems like they had a couple of tables and chairs in the courtyard but they didn’t look that comfortable. *There might be other areas to sit that I didn’t see.

  • Vitaly from Mexico – 7 April 2025 (10/10)

I really liked this hotel. Grate, very kind personnel and service, good location (walking distance to the main square), nice clean room and delicious breakfast.

  • Andrew from United Kingdom – 1 April 2025 (10/10)

I liked the location the most as it is close to the Frida Kahlo museum and great places to eat. Lili and Marianne are two. of the nicest people you could wish to meet and are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was superb.

What could be improved: The rooms are way too small and Claustrophobic.

  • Popa from United Kingdom – 18 March 2025 (8/10)

The large bathtub in the room, the bed and the room itself are very comfy and designed for luxury.

What could be improved: The breakfast has significant room for improvement, and that’s why we did not give 10/10. We noticed some times not fresh ingredients: old stale crumbly bread, reheated chicken (that has a weird taste). Once we sent a dish back but the staff was nice enough to redo it based on our feedback so that was nice, but I didn’t really like having to do that. For the price and a 4-star hotel, I was expecting a more quality breakfast. There are lots of options, but I felt I could’ve cooked it myself at home and I am an average cooker. Honestly, there are cafes 3-5m away from the hotel that served excellent food so the breakfast at the hotel was a pity 🥺

  • Marc from United Kingdom – 14 March 2025 (10/10)

breakfast terrific. Location superb. Staff super helpfull. Very nice environment and athmosphere.

What could be improved: Our room was a bit dark.

  • Paul from United Kingdom – 3 March 2025 (10/10)

Location, room quality and decor was excellent. We had a room at back, which I assume was less noisy.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Elizabeth from United States – 27 February 2025 (10/10)

Really amazing made-to-order breakfast, which was part of the reason we booked this hotel. They also had an evening tea service that went beyond my expectations and was a great way to end the night. The staff were very friendly and had recommendations for restaurants, outings, etc. The room itself was very nice and the bed was incredibly comfortable- I slept so deeply. If I was staying in this neighborhood of CDMX again, I’d definitely stay at Agata.

  • Noredia from United States – 21 February 2025 (10/10)

Location, staff, cleanliness, comfort, and attention were good.

What could be improved: Wish they had a handheld shower and shower caddy.
