Casa Jacinta Guest House Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Casa Jacinta Guest House feels like discovering a hidden gem tucked away in one of Mexico City’s most charming neighborhoods. This three-star boutique property sits on a quiet cobblestone street in Coyoacán, and honestly, the moment you step through the entrance, you know you’ve found something special. The colonial architecture immediately catches your eye — it’s got that authentic Mexican charm without feeling touristy or overdone. The attention to detail in every corner reflects the care that goes into maintaining this property.
The Coyoacán Experience
You know what I love about staying here? You’re right in the heart of Coyoacán, which means you can actually walk to Frida Kahlo’s Blue House in about ten minutes. The neighborhood has this bohemian vibe that’s completely different from the chaos of central Mexico City — think tree-lined streets, weekend markets, and locals sipping coffee at sidewalk cafés. I mean, couples absolutely adore this area (they’ve rated the location 9.5), and I totally get why. It feels like you’re staying in a real Mexican neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district. The cultural richness of the area makes every stay memorable.
Sleep Quality That Actually Matters
Here’s something that surprised me — the beds are genuinely comfortable, and I’m pretty picky about where I sleep. The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of traditional Mexican décor and modern comfort. The walls are thick enough that you don’t hear every footstep in the hallway, which is honestly rare in boutique properties like this. The linens feel crisp and clean, and there’s something about the way the morning light filters through the windows that makes you want to linger in bed a bit longer. Sound insulation and quality furnishings truly enhance the guest experience.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is one of those pleasant surprises that makes your whole day better. They serve both Continental and American options, but what I really appreciated was how fresh everything tasted — the fruit is clearly local, and the coffee is strong enough to properly wake you up. The dining area has this lovely courtyard feel where you can plan your day while watching Coyoacán slowly come to life. It’s not fancy, but it’s exactly what you want before heading out to explore the neighborhood. The quality of ingredients and preparation sets the tone for a wonderful day ahead.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.4 rating, this place clearly does something right, and after staying here, I think it comes down to authenticity. Casa Jacinta doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s a well-run guest house in an incredible location that focuses on the basics and executes them really well. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, and they’re full of local recommendations that you won’t find in guidebooks. If you want to experience Mexico City like a local rather than a tourist, this is honestly one of the best bases you could choose. Every aspect of the property reflects a commitment to guest satisfaction and authentic hospitality.
Hotels in Mexico place guests within steps of Frida Kahlo murals, mezcal tastings, and volcano hikes over colonial rooftops.

The property was clean and the room was exactly what we needed. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with any questions we had. Our room was in front of a beautiful backyard garden that was very relaxing. It was quiet and peaceful away from the busy piazzas. But close enough to walk to restaurants and stores. A perfect place to stay.

Loved the mexican environment and the staff. Breakfast was a bonus!
What could be improved: The water filter stations were low, and the other guests were loud during breakfast and when they entered their rooms. But once it, it was fine.Megan from New Zealand – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, gorgeous property. Choose this place if you're looking for something authentic and away from the busy city centre. An easy walk to great coffee shops and restaurants.
The bed was firm (we liked that). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I wish my Spanish was better so I could speak with the ladies who kept the house. I would absolutely recommend for a non-hotel experience. The breakfast available was also very good.
What could be improved: It was on the pricier end for what you got, but that's more an general comment as there was nothing wrong with our stay and we were very happy.Kristi from Canada – 21 April 2025 (10/10)
