Reviews of Casa Londres by Kukun

  • James from United States – 7 January 2025 (9/10)

Location was convenient and close to many attractions, restaurants and cafes. It was relatively quiet. The rooftop terrace combined with temperate weather made this stay worth the cost.

What could be improved: Minor inconveniences added up. The keypad to the door lock did not work for our room and we needed to use a physical key as a result. Only one key was available, which was inconvenient for the two adults staying in the room. The shower door leaked water into the rest of the bathroom. The floors could be cleaner upon arrival. It would be great to have dishware available on the terrace.

We've been to this property 3 times now and loved each room we've stayed in. It's in the heart of Zona Rosa and we love this neighborhood as it's safe and has much to do. It was the first time taking out family and they loved the property as well.

What could be improved: Unfortunately, our room was slightly dusty when we got in. Not sure if it wasn't wiped down properly, but we did see a cleaning rag so maybe some cleaning was happening right before we arrived. In addition, because we stayed 4 nights/ 5 days, it would have been good to get some fresher towels but we had to wait as no one could wash them on New Year's.

  • Mark from United States – 20 November 2024 (8/10)

Great location. Very comfortable. Good wifi and washer dryer combo.

  • Mattias from Estonia – 1 October 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: I landed in CDMX at around 5.30AM and asked if there's a possibility to check in before 3pm. Unfortunately there wasn't and that's okay. But what was dissapointing was that after arriving at around 3.20PM, they said it will take another hour for the room to be ready. So my long wait became even longer. That's the only negative things to say.

  • Ramon from Mexico – 26 September 2024 (7/10)

I liked the location and the privacy that one can have in the room, the decor is very cozy and at least the room I booked had AC, a small kitchen, 2 TVs a couch.

What could be improved: The neigbours next to me were so loud, one day one guys was screaming so loud at around 6 – 7am. He woke me up.

  • Ismael from United States – 29 July 2024 (9/10)

The air conditioning was a life safer. The washing machine was also a good addition to the room.

What could be improved: The bathroom didn't a countertop to put your stuff, other than that the bathroom was clean and was of decent size.

  • Sarah from United States – 13 July 2024 (8/10)

The hotel is on a nice quiet tree lined street. Check in was easy and the room was comfortable. The rooftop hot tub was a nice bonus. We enjoyed the location for exploring Mexico City, and rested well in between.

What could be improved: The room was a bit dark. The bathroom didn’t have any counter space.

  • Joel from Australia – 8 June 2024 (9/10)

    Really nice, modern apartment.
Love the area. 4-5 food stands across the road and close to bars and restaurants.
A/C can be hard to find in Mexico City especially at this price point and worked well.
Shared rooftop area has a nice jacuzzi.
Security staff downstairs were fantastic and helped us store our luggage for a few hours as we were between hotels.
Best shower I’ve had in Mexico even if the water took a while to get hot, but it eventually always did.
    Consistently good wifi.

What could be improved: Not much natural light.
Foldout couch was pretty springy but this is to be expected on a foldout couch and our friend that slept on it still slept fine.

  • Michael from Belize – 30 April 2024 (8/10)

Overall, our experience was great at this property. Our room was comfy and spacious. It was lovely to have 2 balconies to see the city, and we had easy access to the 7th floor amenities.

What could be improved: We stayed on the 6th floor, and it seemed there were slight renovations to the ceiling being done due to some water. A new lock system was on our door but maybe it would be best to make this more secure as the passcode was very obvious. Also, the lock inside was no longer working for added security. There was a lot of partying on the street this past weekend and tons of sirens from the police. I'm not sure if there is a way to make the room sound proof because even with all doors and windows closed, it was still extremely noisy.

The location was perfect for us. Very central to all things happening for the new year. Safe area and lots of shopping opportunities nearby. It’s in zona rosa so everywhere is gay friendly and touristic. Prices are a bit higher in this area but nothing too extreme. The rooftop was our favourite. Great views, and a hot tub, which came in handy for the colder days. The bed was amazing and lots of closet space. The room was cool and we didn’t need the AC. It was equipped with everything we needed. Rosalba was very nice and helpful. She brought us fresh towels, garbage bags, asked daily if we needed anything. She told us about what we could have done around the neighbourhood. She even showed us where some items were in the room when we thought items were missing. The lounge area, gym, and cafeteria space on the rooftop were also great.

What could be improved: I wish we had more pictures of the exact room we were getting. We were hoping for a room with a view, but instead we got a room that had a balcony that looked over to the neighbour. We couldn’t keep our doors open as a result. The room was very dark because there is no other natural light coming in. There was also a bit of construction happening and it echoed throughout the halls. I also wish a little more time was spent on cleaning the room. It was slightly musty. The bathroom needed some more TLC. We come from the hotel industry and there are small things that could have made this an exceptional space. Some of the tiles had grime in the bathroom, the bathroom door hand some stains on it and we were unsure what those were. There was also two broken items in the bathroom where shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner could have gone. Again nothing was a deal breaker, but I think if a little more time is spent in ensure the room is super clean and fixes for some of the items it would make this an exceptional space, regardless of the view.
