Lamartine 205 by Wynwood House Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Lamartine 205 by Wynwood House, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The building sits quietly on a residential street in Mexico City, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star property has a boutique feel that makes it stand out from the cookie-cutter accommodations you’ll find in the touristy zones. The entrance is understated but welcoming — you know what I mean, the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name after the first day.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s where this place really shines, and the numbers back it up — recent guests rated the location 8.8 out of 10, which is pretty impressive. What I love about this area is that you’re in a real neighborhood, not some sterile hotel district. You’ll find local cafeterías and small shops within walking distance, plus you’re well-connected to the rest of the city without being in the middle of all the chaos. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this setup (they gave it an 8.9 rating), probably because it feels more intimate and authentic than staying in the typical tourist corridors.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — everything had its place, which is exactly what you want when you’re living out of a suitcase. The decor strikes a nice balance between modern touches and local character, though don’t expect anything too flashy. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the little things: good lighting for reading, decent water pressure, and — this might sound small but it matters — enough outlets near the bed for your devices.
Practical Perks
Let me tell you about something that’ll save you both money and headaches: they offer free parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in Mexico City, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. Most places in the city either don’t have parking at all or charge you an arm and a leg for it. Having a secure spot for your car right at the hotel? That’s worth its weight in gold, especially if you’re planning day trips outside the city or just want the freedom to explore at your own pace.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Lamartine 205 isn’t any single standout feature — it’s how everything works together. The location gives you that authentic Mexico City experience without sacrificing convenience, the staff treats you like a person rather than a room number, and the practical benefits (like that parking situation) actually make your trip easier. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but sometimes what you really want is a comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank and lets you focus on exploring the incredible city outside your door. The 7.5 rating reflects exactly what this place is: solid, reliable, and genuinely pleasant without any pretense.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Mexico before winter whale-watching fills Pacific beach towns with eco-lodges.

Location is excellent. The apartment is confortable but furniture is a little worn. Good shower, the bed and sheets were great.
What could be improved: I stayed on the first floor, the apartment is very dark and the garbage is collected a few meters from the door. The floors around this area were quite dirty. There is only one washer/dryer.it was quite noisy on Saturday night.Alejandro from Argentina – 27 September 2024 (8/10)

Comfortable (for one person) and clean.
What could be improved: More security measures previous check in than in an airport. Internet didn’t work 3 out of the 4 days… no solution from the staff, bad and rude answers after my claims. Really bad customer service.Robert from Canada – 13 June 2024 (5/10)
Location
What could be improved: Property management may as well be relocated to the moon. They are remote and ineffective. Flimsy furniture.Jaime from Mexico – 4 April 2024 (6/10)
