Here’s the thing about staying in Mexico City‘s Polanco neighborhood — you’re basically in the sweet spot of the entire city. I mean, you can walk to some of the best restaurants, galleries, and shopping without dealing with the chaos of the historic center. The location feedback speaks for itself — couples rate it 9.1, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re close enough to Chapultepec Park for morning runs, but also within easy reach of the business district if you’re here for work.

The Studio Space

The room itself is thoughtfully laid out — not huge, but every square meter is used intelligently. There’s a proper kitchenette that actually works (you know how some places just throw in a mini-fridge and call it a kitchen?), and the sleeping area feels separate enough that you don’t feel like you’re living on top of your suitcase. The windows let in great natural light, which makes the space feel bigger than it actually is. Storage is decent too — I managed to unpack completely, which always makes a stay feel more comfortable.

Neighborhood Life

What I really appreciate about this area is how it feels like a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. There’s a corner store literally around the block, and the local taco place (which you’ll discover on your second day) serves some of the best al pastor I’ve had in the city. The tree-lined streets make walking pleasant, and you’ll notice locals actually live and work here — it’s not just hotels and tourist traps. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, you won’t need a car much in this location.

The 7.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it delivers on what matters most. The host clearly cares about the space (you can tell from the little touches and how well-maintained everything is), and the location really is unbeatable for the price point. Couples especially seem to love it here, probably because Polanco has that romantic, walkable neighborhood feel without being overly touristy. You get authentic Mexico City living with enough comfort and convenience to make your stay genuinely enjoyable.

  The flat is well located, very close to Reforma street, Chapultepec park and Polanco in general.
  Kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge with freezer, microwave and gas stove. Bed is big and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: It‘s a shame that from 7 am in the morning until around 5pm in the afternoon, there is a bad odor from outside like old reused lard coming from somewhere on the street food places or a restaurant that doesn’t have a proper kitchen air extractor. This makes it uncomfortable to do home office.
  We were supposed to get an access key card at check in for the ground floor doors, but we were told that it was not necessary as the administration of the building didnt repair the system so far. Next morning, we were locked in the building without being able to get out, because this doors were locked and a key card was needed. It took several hours (from 8:40am – 2:40 pm) for the persons in charge to get it fixed without keycards. I had several meetings that day that I urgently needed to take and I wasn’t able to attend due to this issue. I understood that it had to do with the building administration, however, this was very inconvenient.
