Pedregal Palace Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Pedregal Palace, you immediately get the sense that this is one of those places that knows exactly what it is — a solid, no-nonsense three-star hotel that doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The lobby has this comfortable, lived-in feel that actually puts you at ease rather than intimidating you with unnecessary grandeur. What struck me right away was how many guests seemed to genuinely know the staff by name, which honestly tells you a lot about a place. The hotel’s approach to hospitality feels refreshingly authentic and unpretentious.
Location & Getting Around
The hotel sits on Periférico Sur in the San Jeronimo Lidice area, and this location really works in your favor. You’re far enough from the chaos of central Mexico City to actually get some peace, but close enough that you can still reach the main attractions without spending your entire day in traffic. The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly makes total sense when you experience it yourself. There’s something about this neighborhood that just feels more manageable than other parts of the city. The accessibility to key destinations combined with the quieter atmosphere creates an ideal balance for travelers.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what I expected from a well-run three-star property — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without any unnecessary frills. The beds are actually quite good, and you know what really impressed me? The attention to small details like having enough outlets near the bed and decent water pressure in the shower. It’s those little things that show a hotel actually cares about the guest experience rather than just checking boxes. The furnishings are practical and well-maintained throughout.
Practical Perks
Here’s where Pedregal Palace really shines — they offer free private parking, which anyone who’s tried to park in Mexico City will tell you is worth its weight in gold. Not having to circle blocks looking for a spot or worry about your car overnight saves you both money and stress. The staff seems genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions, and they remember returning guests quite well. This combination of practical amenities and attentive service sets the property apart from comparable accommodations in the area.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back here — and there are apparently quite a few repeat guests — is that reliable, comfortable experience you can count on. It’s not trying to wow you with flashy amenities or trendy design, but it delivers consistently on the basics that actually matter when you’re traveling. The location works, the service is genuine, and you don’t feel like you’re paying for a bunch of stuff you’ll never use. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially in a city as overwhelming as Mexico City can be. This hotel understands its purpose and executes it exceptionally well.

Location 🙌🙌
What could be improved: Towels. Very thin and oldDaniel from Mexico – 7 November 2024 (7/10)
The staff was helpful and the location in the south of the city is great, there are convenience stores, small supermarket and pharmacy nearby. We had a malfunctioning hair dryer and the staff promptly helped and provided another one. The parking is free, although is valet parking.
What could be improved: Hotel didn’t have a kettle for boiling water, also, there were several problems with electricity and the lifts during our stay. Hotel Only provided one small bottle of water (while most hotels provide two).Jesus from United Kingdom – 6 June 2024 (8/10)
The location was great, Very well positioned in the southern area of the city.
What could be improved: It’s quite an old property, but is well maintainedMariela from Mexico – 28 February 2024 (7/10)
Very centric location, the rooms were nice, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly.
What could be improved: The shower in our room did not throw enough water, the light on the mirror outside of the bathroom did not work. Also, we had noisy neighbors on the room beside ours and woke us up at 3am when they arrived, you can hear them laughing, talking very loud.Marinee from Mexico – 10 September 2023 (8/10)
The friendliness of the staff and the location.
What could be improved: There was no coffee maker in the room and no bathtub witch was my only reason for booking a suite.Wendy from Spain – 20 April 2023 (9/10)
Good facilities and super clean. Nice furniture.
What could be improved: The elevator was too slow.Gmalcantar from Mexico – 30 October 2022 (8/10)
The hotel is conveniently located.
What could be improved: The facilities are old. This hotel has seen better times years ago. There aren't electric plugs available in the room.Raul from Mexico – 2 October 2022 (9/10)
I have always found the Pedregal Palace extremely valuable because it is SO CLOSE to everything I need to do. Everywhere I go, is in the southern part of Mexico City, so it really helps that it is located near the Ajusco.
What could be improved: I wish their wifi were much stronger and better distributed across the buildings. It's hard to do work when you need high speed internet and you don't get as strong a signal as you would need or like to.Villamar from United States – 16 September 2022 (8/10)
