Ramada by Wyndham Ciudad de Mexico Perinorte Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ramada by Wyndham Ciudad de Mexico Perinorte, you immediately get that feeling of “okay, this works.” It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — just a solid three-star hotel that knows exactly what business travelers and couples need. The lobby has that clean, modern Ramada vibe without any pretense, and honestly, after dealing with Mexico City traffic, that straightforward approach feels refreshing. This is a place where practicality meets comfort in a way that resonates with guests who value substance over style.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s what I really appreciate about this place — it’s positioned on Gustavo Baz Boulevard in Tlalnepantla de Baz, which might sound like you’re way out there, but you’re actually in a smart spot. You’re close enough to Mexico City proper without being stuck in the chaos of the centro histórico traffic. The area has that suburban business district feel, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Couples seem to get this location strategy — they consistently rate it highly, and I can see why. The proximity to major business centers makes it ideal for corporate travelers.
The Room Experience
The room setup is what you’d expect from Ramada — clean lines, comfortable beds, and everything actually works. The air conditioning is reliable (which matters more than you might think in this climate), and there’s decent space to spread out your stuff. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but when you’re dealing with long days exploring the city or handling business meetings, you want a space that just lets you relax without any surprises. The furnishings are modern and well-maintained throughout.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast situation here is pretty straightforward — they do a buffet that covers the basics well. You’ll find your standard mix of Mexican and international options, nothing fancy but definitely enough to get your day started properly. The coffee is actually decent, which honestly can make or break a morning when you’re traveling. It’s one of those setups where you can grab something quick if you’re rushing out, or sit and plan your day if you’ve got time. The dining area is comfortable and welcoming.
Why Guests Love It
What really comes through in talking to other travelers is that this hotel just delivers on its promises without any drama. The 8.7 rating isn’t an accident — it’s what happens when a place focuses on doing the fundamentals really well rather than trying to be flashy. The staff seems to understand that most guests are either here for business in the area or using it as a base to explore Mexico City, and they make both scenarios work smoothly. There’s reliable parking, which anyone who’s driven in this city will tell you is worth its weight in gold, and the whole operation runs with that efficiency you want when you’re trying to make the most of your time in the area. This hotel represents genuine value for discerning travelers.

The pool was great, the room was clean.
What could be improved: I had emailed the hotel to ask if i could have early check in as i was arriving at 5am, i had a response to say the hotel would do its best to assist.
when i arrived the staff member on shift( 9th april at 5am )was very rude and stated they had not recieved an email and i could not check in until 3pm.
i also requested a bottle of water to take my medication and was ignored by x2 members of staff.
it was not the ideal greeting as i had to get changed in the toilets and the last thing you want after travelling 12hrs on an aeroplane all i wanted to do was sleep. the receptionist wanted to charge me full room rates for early check in but i dont understand on the 9th why i would pay for the 8th???
disappointed. food was not great.Laila from Mexico – 20 September 2023 (9/10)
The hotel was in a great location from Mexico City and Coacalco Municipality. We were there to visit family and take care of business as well. Their indoor pool was warm, and we loved swimming there throughout our stay. Their small restaurant was small but nice and cozy. The people who work at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that they have a washer and a dryer. I would stay there again.
What could be improved: Not enough variety in their breakfast buffet. It was better to order A la Cart.Christina from Canada – 23 August 2023 (9/10)
The staff are lovely. Rooms are large and clean. I appreciated the coffee pot and fridge. Room service available late which was great for a late arrival. It's a typical large chain hotel.
What could be improved: To use the safe you had to have maintenance open it for you. The location isn't great being in an industrial area and not close to much of anything. The gym doesn't exist any more. I thought it was quite expensive.Allan from Australia – 12 March 2023 (5/10)
Generally good.
What could be improved: The major problem with this hotel is that it is too far away from the Mexico City center; tours and valued tourist locations. This means that taxi fares are much more expensive, and in some cases, taxis are harder to come by.Jannete from Mexico – 4 July 2022 (5/10)
it seem so old and dusty
What could be improved: I asked for a bedroom with a king bed and a bathtub. I get a room with 2 beds and no bathtub. a lot of people running and screaming on the corridors and calling to my room.
