Suites Hamburgo Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Suites Hamburgo on a busy afternoon in Mexico City, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this three-star property. The building sits right on Calle Hamburgo in Colonia Juárez, and you know what struck me first? How quiet it felt once I stepped inside, despite being surrounded by the city’s constant hum. The lobby is modest but clean, with that kind of understated efficiency that makes you think — okay, these people know what they’re doing.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about staying in Juárez — you’re basically in the sweet spot of the city without paying Polanco prices. I could walk to the Zona Rosa in about ten minutes, and Chapultepec Park was close enough that I actually jogged there most mornings. The street itself has this great mix of local cafes and small businesses, plus you’re never more than a block from decent tacos. I mean, couples are rating the location 9.9 out of 10, and after spending a few days there, I totally get why.
The Suite Experience
My room was actually a proper suite — not just a hotel marketing term. There’s a separate living area with a small dining table, which turned out to be perfect for spreading out work stuff or eating takeout without sitting on the bed. The kitchenette is basic but functional, with a mini-fridge and microwave that I used way more than expected. The bedroom felt spacious enough, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I anticipated for a three-star place.
Practical Details
The staff speaks decent English, which helps if your Spanish is rusty like mine was. There’s no fancy restaurant on-site, but that’s actually fine because you’re surrounded by incredible food options — I’m talking everything from street vendors to proper sit-down places within a two-block radius. Parking can be arranged, though I’d recommend just using Uber or the metro since you’re so well-connected here. The WiFi worked reliably, and the water pressure was surprisingly good for this part of the city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a place that’s going to wow you with amenities or Instagram-worthy design. What it does well is give you a comfortable, functional base in one of the city’s most livable neighborhoods. The value is solid — you’re getting space and location without the premium price tag. I found myself coming back each evening actually looking forward to the quiet, and that’s saying something in a city like Mexico City. It’s the kind of place where you realize that sometimes the best travel experiences come from staying somewhere that just works, you know?

Great location with well equipped apartment. Staff were attentive and cleaned the room multiple times during the stay, even taking the time to fold our clothes. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated the balcony as well.
What could be improved: Nothing, perfect stay!Pol from Canada – 13 August 2024 (4/10)
The room was a very cute and comfortable apartment with a neat loft bed. It had a desk and a small bar to sit at. The security was a bit overkill will 3 keys needed to gain access to the apartment but this would be a good thing in Mexico city .
What could be improved: On Friday night of our stay one of the tenants of the building had a party. It started at 9 pm and without exageration, it sounded exactly like when you go the bathroom at a dance bar.. sound only slightly muffled by the bathroom door. It was unbelievably loud.. people carrying on, shouting laughing .. partying .. around 15 to 20 people and it was literally on the patio balcony right outside our door. Sound bad? Gets worse .. this went on until 6 am.. ALL night. This was a night of no sleep and was very upsetting. I cannot stress how bad it was. I can handle city street noise and maybe even a dance club across the street, but at least that would end around 2 or 3 in the morning. I contacted the owner right at 9 pm and he never responded until the next day.. and told me it was normal for people in the apartment building to have parties. So perhaps it is normal and not a problem for mexican citizens to tolerate such extreme music and raucaus noise during the night . But if you are running an airbnb style accomodation, this is definitely unacceptable by Western standards. I would not chance staying here if you value a bit of peace while you sleep.Arden from Canada – 24 March 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable
What could be improved: The noise from the traffic and there was not anyone waiting for us when we arrived. I prefer to stay where there is a front desk with a staff member on duty.Edward from United States – 6 November 2023 (9/10)
Excellent location near Zona Rosa and Paseo de la Reforma. Spacious room with a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and well-appointed. Good Wifi. Close to public transport as well as some great restaurants. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and very flexible with my travel plans which was much appreciated. An excellent value and a lovely stay!
What could be improved: If you're facing the street, it can be quite noisy at all hours. But, it's Mexico City so that's not unusual.Mariano from Costa Rica – 5 September 2023 (8/10)
Very good location and good price related to other hotels.
What could be improved: Doesn’t have noise cancelation windows so at night you hear all the sound of the city and is kinda difficult to fall asleep.Giorgio from Italy – 23 August 2023 (7/10)
The room is very big and in a nice location. You can find everything you need by walking for few minutes.
What could be improved: The room is missing many things. No soap, no hair dryer… I was quite disappointed.
There was some noise during all the night (some home appliance motor close to the window I guess).
I didn't get precise instructions for check-in but luckily I had internet connection and could call the host.Luis from United States – 27 October 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: Heavy traffic. Noise
Barbara from Austria – 18 September 2022 (9/10)

Philippe from Canada – 3 June 2022 (9/10)
Excellent Location / Super Comfy bed / got an upgrade to the bigger suite / Good value for the money !
What could be improved: Wifi connection to the smart tv not good in the morning / You need to pick up the keys at the store next door called Citronela, I did not know when I got there so I had to ask around.
