Casa Fontana Suites Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Casa Fontana Suites, you immediately notice how this three-star property punches above its weight. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard — clean lines, warm lighting, and staff who actually seem happy to see you. I mean, you’re not getting marble floors and crystal chandeliers here, but honestly? The place has character that a lot of fancier hotels lack.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the location on Periférico Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho — you’re in Mexico City but not drowning in the chaos of the historic center. The area feels more residential and breathable, yet you can still reach the main attractions without too much hassle. What really sold me though was the free parking situation — and I cannot stress enough how rare and valuable this is in Mexico City. You know what it’s like trying to find a safe spot for your car in this city, so having that peace of mind is honestly priceless.
The Suites
The room setup here is actually pretty clever. These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — they’re proper suites with separate living areas that give you space to spread out. The kitchenette isn’t huge, but it’s functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the nearby markets and prepare simple meals. I found myself using it more than I expected, especially for morning coffee before heading out to explore. The beds are comfortable (not amazing, but definitely good), and the bathrooms are clean with decent water pressure — sometimes that’s all you really need.
Daily Life at the Hotel
What strikes me about Casa Fontana is how it feels more like a temporary home than a hotel. The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you might actually want to hang out with a book or laptop. The staff knows regulars by name, and there’s this genuine warmth that you don’t always get at bigger properties. Couples seem to really appreciate the intimate atmosphere here — I noticed a lot of pairs enjoying quiet conversations in the lobby area, and honestly, the whole place has this romantic, low-key energy that works well for getaways.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in ways that matter. The combination of that excellent location, the rare value of free parking, and suites that actually give you room to breathe makes it a solid choice for Mexico City. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly tells you something — this is one of those spots where you feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. For the price point, you’re getting genuine value and a more authentic Mexico City experience.

Reviews of Casa Fontana Suites
Cordero from United States – 30 April 2025 (8/10)
Very clean, very functional great facilities. Really does have everything you need for a business trip.
What could be improved: It is not easy to find and none of the Uber would arrive at the correct location. Every time I tried. Also the link in booking.com to the property itself for Google Maps is broken and leads you to a military hospital. So that was very frustrating.Natalia from Mexico – 27 April 2025 (9/10)
Location, place in general
What could be improved: Everything was perfectNidia from El Salvador – 16 April 2025 (9/10)
The place is wonderful, my apartment was huge with AC, hot water, coffee and drinking water. The location is difficult to access because internet seems to fail in this area since it’s between huge buildings and in the middle of a busy street. I believe the owners should put a picture of how the location looks from outside and maybe some names of buildings that are close to it.
The area is safe and close to Polanco and really nice neighborhoods. Mr. Nicholas and his wife work in maintenance they are the nicest people ever, willing to help and very respectful. Around 11:30pm there was building next door or in this hotel I was not able to tell but there was drilling and hammering, it was very annoying since I was trying to sleep.Dean from Colombia – 2 February 2025 (9/10)

It had all the facilities at hand, spacious, and clean, really close by walking where I needed to go.
What could be improved: The stove seemed like it wasn't working. And the windows overlooked to a kind of a common area.Lori from Canada – 7 December 2022 (9/10)
