Hotel Conde Alameda CDMX Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Conde Alameda CDMX, you immediately get that feeling of discovering something authentic in the heart of Mexico City. This three-star property sits right in Centro Histórico on a charming street called Pescaditos, and honestly — the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Mexican colonial feel without being overly touristy, which I really appreciated. The hotel welcomes guests seeking genuine cultural immersion in one of the world’s most vibrant capitals.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s great about staying here? You’re literally in the middle of everything that matters in Mexico City’s historic center. The Zócalo is just a few blocks away, and you can walk to the Cathedral, Palacio Nacional, and tons of incredible street food spots without breaking a sweat. What really surprised me was how quiet Pescaditos street actually is — despite being so central, you’re not dealing with the main thoroughfare noise. Plus, there’s free parking right at the hotel, which honestly feels like winning the lottery in this part of the city. The neighborhood offers unparalleled access to museums, galleries, and historic landmarks.
The Room Experience
My room was simple but comfortable — exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star place. The beds were decent (not amazing, but I slept well), and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The air conditioning worked great, which you’ll definitely need during warmer months. I mean, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities, but everything you need is there, and the housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work. Each room features thoughtful touches that enhance your stay without unnecessary frills.
Exploring the Neighborhood
Here’s something I loved — you’re walking distance from some of Mexico City’s best cantinas and traditional restaurants. There’s this little taco place around the corner that locals actually go to (not just tourists), and the morning coffee vendors set up right on the street. The hotel staff gave me some great recommendations too, which felt genuine rather than the usual tourist trap suggestions. Being in Centro means you can easily catch the metro or hop on one of those pesero buses to explore other neighborhoods like Roma Norte or Condesa.
Why Guests Love It
What really stands out is how couples seem to fall for this place — they consistently rate the location super highly, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about wandering through these historic streets together, especially in the evening when the old buildings are lit up. The staff is genuinely helpful without being overly formal, and you get that authentic Mexico City experience at reasonable rates. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in the real city, not some sanitized hotel bubble. Visitors consistently praise the balance of comfort, location, and value.
To book a hotel in Mexico during mariachi festivals, visitors plan early to blend rooftop fiestas with sunrise hot-air balloons over valleys.

Nothing
What could be improved: There was no air conditioning and no refrigeration to store drinks. Staff were very rude to us. Because it was very warm my husband and I wanted ice to cool off and keep our drinks cold. I was told I had to pay extra for ice. One day I needed an extra towel and I went down to reception and was responded with attitude and was told I could not receive extra towels. Called customer service to complain and was told manager would speak to me to fix this situation. Manager never spoke to us and the next day we did not have any towels in our room and the housekeeper shut our windows to make the room very hot. Went down to reception again and told them we had no towels and they brushed us off. My husband had to sneak in to the laundry room to get towels for us. RIDICULOUS!!! The stay was so horrible it left a mark on our vacation and would recommend anyone to not stay here for any reason.Xavi from Germany – 6 May 2025 (1/10)
The hotel is well located, within walking distance of the Centro Histórico and in a generally safe area (no issues during our stay, though there are many homeless people around—common in CDMX).
The room includes some basic amenities like a Smart TV and hairdryer, but it lacks essentials such as a fridge or electric kettle. Lighting is decent, with both ambient and desk lights.
What could be improved: The noise levels are a serious issue. Walls are paper-thin—you can hear the TV next door clearly. The hotel also operates as a love hotel, so we had to deal with loud parties and guests having sex in nearby rooms. While that may suit some guests, it’s far from ideal if you're trying to sleep or traveling with kids.
The mattresses are uncomfortably hard, making it nearly impossible to get a restful night of sleep.
To make things worse, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. On checkout day, they refused to store our luggage unless we paid a fee—which they would only accept in cash. Since it was our last day and we had no cash left, we were forced to carry our bags around. We offered alternatives (like paying more by card), but were met with a flat “no” and zero empathy, despite having stayed there for five nights. This wasn’t a language issue—we speak Spanish—it was just poor service.Jereson from Colombia – 22 April 2025 (2/10)
The big bed.
What could be improved: The shower was very dirty, I was worry to use it. I didn't find towels the first night. The Tv channels was blocked, this was so weird for me.Lopez from Canada – 3 February 2025 (8/10)
