One Ciudad de Mexico Alameda Overview

First Impressions

Walking into One Ciudad de Mexico Alameda, you immediately get that “this place knows what it’s doing” vibe. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top — honestly, that’s what I liked about it right away. The lobby has this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive. You know how some hotels feel like they’re just going through the motions? This isn’t one of those places.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about staying in Mexico City — location is everything, and this three-star hotel absolutely nails it. You’re right on Avenida Juárez in the heart of Centro Histórico, which means you can walk to the Zócalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Alameda Central park (literally across the street). I mean, couples are rating the location 9.2 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re not stuck taking expensive Ubers everywhere — most of the major sights are within walking distance, and there’s a metro station nearby when you want to venture further out.

The Room Experience

The room itself was surprisingly well-thought-out for what you’re paying. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly — and honestly, that’s more than you can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning actually cools the space (crucial in Mexico City), and the bathrooms are modern and clean. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and blackout curtains that actually block out the street noise and light.

Practical Perks

One thing that sets this place apart is the American-style breakfast — it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s consistent and filling, which matters when you’re planning long days of sightseeing. The parking situation is also worth mentioning if you’re brave enough to drive in Mexico City (though honestly, I’d recommend against it). What really caught my attention was how many repeat guests they have — you don’t get that kind of loyalty unless you’re doing something right consistently.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t a place that’s going to wow you with marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need. The location score of 9.3 from recent guests tells the real story — you’re paying for a clean, comfortable base in one of the best spots in the city. The staff seems to genuinely care about making sure your stay goes smoothly, and there’s something refreshing about a hotel that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than trying to be something it’s not. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat.

Reviews of One Ciudad de Mexico Alameda

  • Eric from United Arab Emirates – 24 May 2025 (9/10)

Good location, clean and good value for money

  • Cinda from United States – 16 March 2025 (8/10)

The property is very clean, has a great location for Mexico ‘s historic center. The breakfast includes fresh fruit as well as hot options.

What could be improved: The room was tiny and had no window. The wifi was spotty.

  • Diana from Mexico – 6 March 2025 (9/10)

Easy to get around. Near many sights

What could be improved: Little noisy

  • Charlene from Canada – 5 February 2025 (9/10)

The quietest room we stayed in Mexico. We had the best sleeps here for 3 nights out of the 21 nights we were in Mexico. Good breakfast included in room rate. I would stay here again. We stayed in a nicer hotel near the Cathedral at the beginning of our trip but is was not as quiet and breakfast was not included in the room rate.

What could be improved: Not much. It’s a basic room but it was good value for the money.

  • Norman from United States – 17 January 2025 (9/10)

    nice breakfast. great location

  • Ana from Portugal – 28 November 2024 (8/10)

    Very well located

  • Mariewin from Canada – 8 October 2024 (9/10)

Location was good – almost close to where I would like to go
Breakfast – was good – we enjoyed it
Room – was clean except that it's kind of small for what I expected but doesn't bother me.

What could be improved: Room – it's small from what I expected. the smallest room I have ever had on all my travels. I was expecting at least a superior queen room (that's what I booked) but i got a double room with basic amenities.

  • Adilene from United States – 24 September 2024 (8/10)

The location was perfect close to el Zocalo 15 minute walk, 10 minute walk to Palacio de Bellas Artes. Close to parque de la Alameda. Many restaurant options near by

What could be improved: The room was a bit small for our liking. We were expecting a little more space. The walls must have been a little thin as you could hear what was going on in the hallways.

  • Darya from United Kingdom – 15 September 2024 (8/10)

Central location next to busy street, very clean.

What could be improved: Doesn't have safe, breakfast not great

  • Gerson from Dominican Republic – 23 April 2024 (8/10)

The location was perfect! You can go to many interesting places by walking.
